Rail Corridor

The Rail Corridor is a 24-kilometer-long former railway line that stretches from Tanjong Pagar in the south to Kranji in the north of Singapore. It was built in 1903 to connect Singapore with the rest of the Malay Peninsula. The railway line was closed in 2011 due to the construction of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) East Coast Line.
The Rail Corridor is now a continuous green passage that allows wildlife movement between major green spaces. It also serves as a recreational corridor for all members of the public. The Rail Corridor is divided into three main sections:
Central Section: This section is the most popular and contains a high concentration of historical features such as steel bridges and tracks. It is also home to a variety of wildlife, including monkeys,
Southern Section: This section is less scenic and slightly less interesting apart from Clementi Forest which is a lovely stretch of jungle.
Northern Section: This section is the least developed and is currently closed to the public. However, there are plans to open it up in the future.

Signalling control
