Little Guilin

Little Guilin is a man-made park in Singapore that was once a granite quarry. It is located in Bukit Batok Town Park and is known for its limestone rock formations that rise up from a tranquil lake. The park is named after Guilin, a city in China that is famous for its karst landscape.

Little Guilin was created in the 1980s when the quarry was abandoned. Rainwater collected in the depression over time, turning the quarry into a lake. The Housing and Development Board (HDB) then developed the area into a park, and it was opened to the public in 1984.

The park is a popular spot for hiking, picnicking, and photography. There are also a few walking trails that lead around the lake and up to the top of the rock formations. The views from the top are spectacular, and you can often see the surrounding areas of Singapore.

Seng Chew Quarry

Seng Chew Quarry is an abandoned granite quarry in Bukit Gombak, Singapore. It was operational from 1949 to 1960 and was used to mine granite for construction projects. The quarry is now a popular spot for hiking and photography.
The quarry is located on the slopes of Bukit Gombak and is accessed via a steep trail that leads up from the back of Block 383 Bukit Batok West Avenue 5. The track is not well-maintained, so it can be slippery and challenging to hike in certain areas.

Once you reach the top of the quarry, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding area. The quarry is surrounded by lush greenery, and several rock formations have been created by the quarrying process. The views from the top are particularly impressive at sunset.
